The Long Reach of Love

Sometimes when you’re not with me,
I still feel your touch.
You must be thinking of me,
because I feel so much.

Lovingly enfolded in the arms I miss.
I sense the gentle caresses on my skin.
Like magic, it begins.
Quietly, I sense your kiss.

Late at night I feel you,
I know you’ve just awoke,
You touch me in your mind,
and I can feel the stroke.

I hope you feel it too,
when my mind is full of you.
Whenever I have a minute,
my arms are holding you.

It must be telepathy,
all my senses feel you,
no matter time of day.
Your love for me a blanket.

While others get on with life,
when their love’s away,
Mine stays with me each moment
of every single day.
